Case Studies – Sovereign at The Star, Outdoor Gaming

A key component in the design of The Star’s VIP gaming area, Sovereign, is the extensive outdoor gaming and garden area, to ensure compliance with Government smoking regulations. To provide air locked entrances to these areas, record Diamond Series revolving doors were selected due to their full frameless glass minimalist design.

Each revolving door is 2400mm diameter x 3185mm high and automated via record’s slimline floor box mounted drive system with the control box for each door concealed within nearby ceiling areas. 

Unlike most record revolving doors, that continually rotate at a consistent run speed, these revolving doors have radar activation sensors mounted to the edge of the glass roof panels to allow the doors work in stop/run operation, revolving only as people approach.
