Case Studies – 259 George Street, end of trip
The extensive refurbishment of the basement area at Memocorp’s prestigious 259 George Sydney Sydney, into a luxurious end of trip facility, has been undertaken in several stages to minimise disruption to the building tenants for each stage automatic swing and sliding door entrances from record Automatic Doors have been prominently featured.
‘Zephyr’ has taken the end of trip trend to new heights, from the purely practical, to the positively indulgent. The stark black and white theme is striking to behold with while tiled walls, polished concrete floors, minimalist black aluminum framing and frameless glass used for the sliding door entrances.
Where possible the record STA 21au operators were concealed within the ceiling space to maintain the clean design aesthetic. Where not possible, white powdercoated aluminium pelmets were used, with even the activation and safety sensor housings in a white finish.
Operation of the doors is via card reader external and activation sensor internal with all operators having fail safe battery backup as standard to meet necessary BCA requirements.
